Kensington® Stereo Dock for iPod® Rocks the House
Latest iPod Accessory Integrates Into Home Stereo Systems for Superior Sound Quality
REDWOOD SHORES, Calif. (June 6, 2005)--Kensington Technology Group, a leading maker of accessories that enhance the lifestyle of the Digitally Active™ consumer, today announced the availability of the Stereo Dock for iPod®, the next generation of iPod accessories allowing users to "plug in" to their home stereo systems.
"We believe that the Stereo Dock for iPod is the most elegant solution for connecting an iPod to any home stereo system, integrating pure line-out audio quality, a slim wireless remote control, and a stylish charging dock into one easy to use device," said Oren Blonstein, Senior Product Manager for Kensington. "For the consumer technology enthusiast, who wants the best sound quality from a stereo accessory at a great price point, this is what they have been waiting for."
The Kensington Stereo Dock plays your favorite iPod tunes through any stereo system with line-in capability and charges the iPod at the same time. The infrared remote control operates from up to 30 feet away with five simple buttons to control Play/Pause, Skip Forward, Skip Back, Volume Up and Volume Down. The Stereo Dock is made for all iPods with dock connector, including 15GB, 20GB, 30GB, 40GB, 60GB, iPod mini and iPod photo.
Unique to the Kensington Stereo Dock is the combination of high-quality audio and volume control. It was designed for maximum quality audio, which is why it does not plug into the headphone jack on the top of the iPod. By connecting to the iPod through the bottom dock connector, the Kensington Stereo Dock takes pure, line-out quality audio, eliminating any hint of feedback or interference. Then, the Stereo Dock's embedded chip set enables users to adjust volume from the included remote control - preserving the high-quality audio signal - and providing total control of your tunes from across the room. The Stereo Dock for iPod is the only dock with line-out quality audio signal with volume control on the market today.
