Fraudulent Letters and Forged Checks

February 19, 2007

Kensington Computer Products Group has been made aware of fraudulent letters notifying individuals that they have won a lottery prize and enclosing forged checks that appear to be issued by Kensington. A copy of an example of such a fraudulent letter may be viewed at: http://us.kensington.com/docs/sample_fraud_letter.pdf.

Please take notice that these letters are fraudulent, these checks are forged, and they are not in any way associated with Kensington or its parent company ACCO Brands Corporation.

There are no funds in the account referenced in the forged checks and these checks will not clear any of Kensington’s bank accounts.

These unsolicited fraudulent letters apparently require the recipients to call a toll-free “888” phone number.

Please do not be fooled by these fake letters and checks! They are not from either Kensington or ACCO Brands and they are part of a scam. Neither Kensington nor ACCO Brands sponsors, promotes or engages in lotteries. Our businesses are computer products and office products, not lotteries.

If you receive one of these fraudulent letters which contains a forged check issued in our name, you should ignore the letter and you should not attempt to cash the check.

You may also contact Kensington at KensingtonCustomerService@kensington.com to report these fraudulent letters and forged checks.

You may want to contact your local police department about these fraudulent letters and forged checks.
